Blood the Last Vampire
In my opinion, this is a definitive glimpse
of vampires, and the hunting of them. Beautiful, digitally scanned animation, with a fascinating plot, this film has
more than a little inspired my own work. Saya is, by far, the fiercest female protagonist I have yet encountered.
Definitely worth a viewing, despite its dissapointing brevity.

Hellsing
I am normally rather displeased with
the coupling of mysticism and vampires. This series, however, overcomes that in its brilliant imagery and technical detail. Okay,
it has big coats and big freaking guns, what can be wrong with that? The idea of a sanctioned orginization that hunts
the creatures of the night, with the help of a vampire, is intriguing.

Chirin No Suzu
There is no greater film in existence that addresses the philosophy behind a
protector/killer than this short animation. Despite its sickeninly cute exterior, it packs quite an unexpected punch. Sadly,
it is incredibly hard to find, and easily overlooked. It must be seen to be truly understood.
